I woke up this morning to lots of rain and wind a blah kind of day. The kind of day where you stay in your pjs, watch movies and eat lots of yummy things. It's also the kind of day where the smell of fresh baked cookies should fill the air. I originally wanted to bake milk chocolate yogurt covered pretzel cookies after I seen this recipe but because I couldn't find any yogurt covered pretzels I settled for second best ...oatmeal raisin. I love the delicious cinnamon smell and the yummy taste in my belly of course and as a bonus it's a treat I feel okay with giving my 14 month old. Here's my recipe for supper soft
oatmeal raisin cookies
1 cup margarine
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup white all purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup raisins
Directions

- In separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
- Stir dry ingredients into the sugar mixture.

The whole picture in bits and peices
The first post!! I created this blog a while ago intending to write about my sons traumatic birth and to raise awareness on Vasa Previa. The more I tried to think about what I wanted to write the less motivated I became. I found it was hard to remember all the details I wanted to share. I found myself wishing I had started blogging while I was pregnant so ppl could get the whole story. I still want to write about all those things but I'd also like to talk about day to day things too. My love for food (eating, cooking, reading lol), day to day life as a military wife, the joy of being a mother to the most precious miracle I've ever received, my job (at a court house where anything can happen) and so much more. I want to give everyone the whole picture in bits an peices. So there we have it my first blog post!
